System requirements
Rentech MRO ERP is not a website. It installs on machines in your shop, and your work orders, parts, and paperwork stay there.
A shop server
One always-on Windows PC runs Rentech Shop Server alongside PostgreSQL 14 or later. Every other desk runs the same program and points at that PC over your network. No inbound internet access is required.
This is what the Network plan means by unlimited workstations: as many desks as you like, all on your own network, all reading one set of books.
What happens when the internet goes down
The program checks your subscription with us and then carries on without us. The licence it holds is good for seven days, so an outage at your end or at ours does not stop work on the floor. Nothing about your parts, your customers, or your work orders is sent to us — the check carries your licence key, the machine it is installed on, and the version you are running.
If a payment is missed
You get a further week at full use. After that the program goes read-only: you can still open, search, and print everything, including travelers and purchase orders. It does not lock you out of your own records, and it does not delete them.
Where your data lives
On your hardware. The database sits on the shop PC or your shop server, and the document folder for scanned 8130-3s, CMMs, and photographs is a folder you choose — a local drive or a share on your network. You can copy it, audit it, or take it with you, without asking us.
What we support
Windows on 64-bit Intel or AMD. There is no macOS, Linux, tablet, or phone version, and no browser version. Printing goes to any printer Windows can see; travelers and purchase orders come out as PDF, and exports are Excel and CSV.
